The timming of February's special evaluation issue was great for our four-months-old club. Everybody at our last meeting praised the articles specially the one by Shelia Spencer "3 Points to Keep Your Evaluation on Target" that builds an excellent framework for speech evaluators. Unlike cultures in other parts of the world, we think people in Europe are not really used to give and receive feedback everyday outside of the formal corporate performance evaluation or education system. People often become defensive and sometimes we are afraid to try to help others evolve. Our meetings are improving every week because we are more confident giving honest analysis, thoughtful recommendations and encouragement.
